International transport refers to the movement of goods across borders, from one country to another. This can take place within Europe or worldwide, depending on the destination and logistics needs.
Transport request: quickly arranged and well checked
Every logistics chain starts with a transport request. Customers can easily register their shipment via our customer portal or by e-mail. As soon as the request is received, we immediately check the key information such as loading and unloading location, type of goods, time windows and required documentation.
In international transport there is often more involved than just the transport itself. Think of import duties, customs documents and border checks. That is why we take care of the entire customs process. This ensures a smooth procedure and prevents delays at the border.
Transport planning: smart and sustainable
Our planners use advanced software to combine shipments efficiently. We take into account loading capacity, delivery times and customer agreements. By avoiding empty kilometres, we achieve time savings and reduce CO₂ emissions.
Sustainability is becoming increasingly important in international transport, and smart planning directly contributes to this.
One point of contact: personal and reliable
At Alblas you don’t get a call centre, but a dedicated contact person who knows your company and your needs.
This ensures quick follow-up of questions, personal contact and proactive support for urgent deliveries.
Reliability starts with familiarity, and that is why customers highly value our approach.
Preparation: documents and vehicle inspection
Before departure we make sure everything is correct down to the last detail.
Think of checking freight and customs documents, clear instructions for the driver and the deployment of suitable vehicles, for example for chemical or temperature-sensitive products.
We meet the highest quality standards and hold important certifications:
- SQAS, assessment of safety, quality and environment in the chemical sector
- Ecovadis, international recognition for sustainability and corporate social responsibility
Transport and tracking: always insight
During transport you have real-time insight into the status of your shipment via our track & trace system. You can see the current location, the expected arrival time and you receive immediate updates in case of changes.
For international transport this is essential, because routes and delivery times are often influenced by external factors. With transparency in every step, customers maintain control over their supply chain.
Delivery and follow-up
Our drivers deliver the goods carefully and according to agreement. Receipt is digitally registered and you automatically receive a proof of delivery (POD). Even after delivery, your dedicated contact person remains available for questions or follow-up assignments.
Specialised fresh logistics
For fresh, refrigerated or frozen products we have a specialised Fresh department. This team is fully focused on fruit & vegetable and flower transport, including temperature control, precise timing and strict hygiene requirements. Thanks to our IFS certification you are assured of food-safe and reliable transport.
Our Fresh specialists:
